Jak Crawford started the Feature Race from pole position and immediately demonstrated why he has been a force in the 2025 season. At the lights, he executed a perfect launch, fending off early pressure from Joshua Duerksen into Turn 1. Crawford’s DAMS Lucas Oil car showed excellent balance through Baku’s tight street sections, allowing him to control the pace while preserving his tyres for the long 29-lap race. His early laps set the tone for what would become a nail-biting battle at the front.
Joshua Duerksen spent much of the race shadowing Crawford, staying within striking distance and applying pressure through the long straights. Several late-race attempts to overtake were met with defensive lines from Crawford, whose composure under pressure proved decisive. Duerksen ultimately crossed the line just 0.216 seconds behind, showing both resilience and strategic intelligence, but missing out on what would have been a thrilling victory.
Dino Beganovic continued his strong weekend form by converting a solid grid position into a podium finish. The Swedish driver, winner of the Sprint Race, managed his tyres expertly and picked off competitors in mid-race battles to secure third place. Beganovic’s performance reinforced his reputation as a rising talent capable of combining raw pace with tactical awareness in challenging street circuits.
Gabriele Minì rounded out the top four, making the most of Prema Racing’s setup and his own racecraft. While he never threatened the podium directly, Minì held off multiple challenges, carefully managing his tyres and braking zones through Baku’s narrow turns. Campos Racing drivers Pepe Martí and Arvid Lindblad finished sixth and seventh, respectively, demonstrating steady, consistent pace and showing the team’s ability to compete in the mid-pack even under intense street circuit conditions.
The race saw its share of misfortune as well, with Alex Dunne and Martinius Stenshorne retiring early due to crashes. Dunne had shown strong pace earlier in the weekend but was caught out by the tight walls of Baku, while Stenshorne, a newcomer to Formula 2, learned the harsh realities of street racing in his debut. These incidents underscored how unforgiving Baku can be, emphasizing precision and patience as critical ingredients for success.
